NASUAD Congratulates Lance Robertson on his Confirmation as Assistant Secretary for Aging

August 3, 2017 -- NASUAD would like to express our congratulations to Mr. Lance Robertson on receiving Senate confirmation as the Assistant Secretary for Aging and the Administrator of the Administration on Community Living at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Lance is supremely qualified for this role, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the aging network. Mr. Robertson is intimately familiar with the needs of states, as well as the aging and disability networks, having served as the Director of the Aging Services Division at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services for nearly ten years. Lance has long been an active NASUAD member during his entire tenure, and has served on our Board of Directors in a number of roles including as the Association’s President.

NASUAD believes that Lance’s lengthy experience in the network, established relationships with state and federal partners, and his passion for mentoring young and emerging professionals will be incredibly valuable in the ACL Administrator position. We look forward to working with Lance his new role as we strive to strengthen supports and services for older adults and people with disabilities.
