Have you seen the new site sponsored by CMS? This space offers a resource center for states, up to date information about the affordable care act and additional federal policy guidance. The waiver section organizes information by state, program name, waiver authority and status of a application. This chart gives an overview of the four primary types of waivers and demonstration projects: Section 1115, Section 1915(b) Managed Care, Section 1915(c) HCBS, and Concurrent Section 1915(b) and 1915(c).

The Economic Security Database

Wider Opportunities for Women’s (WOW) database provides information on how much it costs for families & older adults to cover their most basic expenses: housing, food, and transportation. The Basic Economic Security Tables (BEST) Index and the Elder Economic Security Standard Index (Elder Index) measure the incomes workers & retired adults need to achieve economic security. Both measures use comprehensive definitions of economic security, presented at the state, county & city levels.

NCOA's National Center for Benefits Outreach and Enrollment Website

Organizations are assisted in enrolling seniors & younger adults with disabilities with limited means into the benefits programs for which they are eligible so that they can remain healthy & improve the quality of their lives. New features available on the site include fact sheets with detailed info about core benefits programs, a clearinghouse of promising practices, & a library of sample benefits outreach materials, webinar slides, & publications—all searchable by topic, state, & keyword.

TAC Resource Center on Supportive Housing

This site is a one stop resource to help expand integrated supportive housing approaches for people with disabilities. It highlights innovative new options within the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Section 811 Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities program, & provides information & resources targeted to states & other supportive housing stakeholders as they face new challenges & opportunities for ensuring community living for non elderly people with disabilities.

One Call-One Click Transportation Services Toolkit

This Toolkit provides information for communities interested in working together to develop a one-call or one-click service for transportation to fit their own circumstances. On November 9th, the Federal Transit Administration announced $34.6 million would be awarded to 55 communities for resource centers. Review the website for practical guides and tools on implementation. Additionally there are community profiles and webinars to provide best practice examples.

Evidence-Based Policy Initiative: Website

This website is part of a joint initiative of the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services and the Association of University Centers on Disabilities. The Initiative integrates sound research into policy and program decisions that affect the independence, inclusion, productivity, self-determination, health and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities. The partnership is developing products and activities promoting evidence-based policymaking.
