Older Adults with Behavioral Health Needs
Fact Sheets and Issue Briefs of the Older Americans Behavioral Health Technical Assistance Center
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and Administration on Aging (AoA) partnered to develop a series of Issue Briefs to address behavioral health issues that are important to older Americans. The Issue Briefs identify key information and opportunities for action that can improve the lives of older people. The first brief offers an overview of issues, facts, evidence-based programs and practices, partnering opportunities, financing and other resources.
A series of 14 fact sheets/issue briefs will be created that will constitute a coherent and integrated discussion of key aspects of providing effective, science-based behavioral services for older adults. The Fact Sheets/Issue Briefs will complement the information provided in the webinar series.
