HHS Seeks Comments on Health Quality Measures
December 30, 2010
HHS published a notice outlining a core set of health quality measures recommended for Medicaid-eligible adults, as required by Section 2701 of the ACA, for voluntary use by states, insurance issuers, Medicaid managed care contractors, and service providers. The notice solicits comments on these initial measures, including the utility of the recommendations at the state level, and priority areas for measure enhancement and development.

CDC Seeks Comments on Development of Health Risk Assessment Guidance

Request for Comments Regarding Exchange-Related Provisions in Title I of the ACA

Starting in 2014, the Exchanges will provide consumers with a new marketplace for purchasing health insurance. To help shape the creation of the Exchanges, HHS invited states, consumer advocates, employers, insurers and other interested stakeholders to comment on the types of standards Exchanges should be required to meet.

Request for Comments Regarding Medical Loss Ratios

The Departments of HHS, Labor and Treasury invited public comment to aid in the development of regulations regarding Section 2718 of the Public Health Services Act. Section 2718 requires health insurance issuers offering individual or group coverage to submit annual reports to the Secretary of HHS on the percentages of premiums that the coverage spends on reimbursement for clinical services and activities that improve health care quality, and to provide rebates to enrollees if this spending does not meet minimum standards for a given plan year.

Request for Comments Regarding the Premium Review Process
